The NSX Source Aid  for SAP BW solution is a DTS-based interface which populates SAP BW with data sourced from a legacy system or from R/3.

This interface uses SAP-delivered staging BAPI’s to extract SAP BW InfoSource metadata and to load those InfoSources into SAP BW. Each InfoSource becomes a destination table within a DTS package; then source tables are defined; transformations performed; and the data is loaded into SAP BW. As per SAP standards the package is invoked from SAP BW by a call issued from SAP BW to DTS which in turn loads the data extracted from various sources into BW.

 NSX Source Aid for SAP BW has extensive error handling and bi-directional status communication between external systems and SAP BW to ensure adequate, real-time status and error information on each side of the data exchange. To ensure data integrity, NSX Data Stager performs extensive comparisons between the metadata persisted in the NSX Repository versus the metadata in its current state within BW.

 NSX Source Aid  for SAP BW can be used in conjunction with NSX OLEDB Provider for SAP to extract R/3 operational data for subsequent loading into SAP BW.
